The Role

Bring your operational safety expertise to a varied role with influence across CBH’s statewide network. Working across ports, country operations, logistics and manufacturing, you will help teams manage risk and apply practical safety controls in complex operational environments.

Combining visible field engagement with safety assurance and continuous improvement, you will work alongside operational leaders, employees and contractors to strengthen capability, share learnings and improve safety performance across the business.

This role will require regular travel throughout WA, across CBH’s network. Access to a company vehicle is provided.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide specialist operational safety advice across CBH’s ports, country operations, logistics and manufacturing environments.
•  Lead and facilitate complex risk assessments, critical control verification, incident investigations and operational assurance activities.
• Influence leaders, employees and contractors to strengthen safety capability and embed effective risk controls into operational decision-making.
• Drive consistent application and continuous improvement of safety systems, safe work practices and contractor safety requirements across the network.
• Analyse safety performance and emerging risks, translating insights and lessons learned into targeted improvement priorities.

About You:

• Formal WHS qualifications with strong knowledge of Western Australian WHS legislation and its practical application.
•  Minimum of five years WHS experience within complex, multi-site industrial or operational environments
•  Demonstrated expertise in operational risk, critical controls, incident investigation, assurance and WHS management systems.
• Strong influencing and coaching capability, with the credibility to partner effectively with operational leaders, employees, contractors and specialist stakeholders.
•  A current First Aid Certificate and WA driver’s licence, with the ability to undertake regular travel across CBH’s operational network.
